Day 2: The Setup
After arriving in Shanghai, I made my way to Yangzhou to settle in before starting work. The journey north was smooth, passing through stretches of countryside, scattered towns, and glimpses of rivers and farmlands that contrasted with Shanghai's urban sprawl. As I arrived in Yangzhou, the pace felt noticeably calmer, with tree-lined streets, historic buildings, and winding canals giving the city a welcoming charm. I began exploring neighborhoods, checking out apartments, and getting a feel for daily life — from local markets and tea shops to parks filled with locals practicing tai chi. The blend of old-world elegance and modern convenience made the city feel like a comfortable place to call home.

Day 3: Getting Settled
With a few days of exploring behind me, I finally started to feel settled in Yangzhou. The pace is gentler than Shanghai, but the charm is undeniable — tree-lined streets, friendly locals, and pockets of quiet beauty everywhere. Between trying local eats and slowly turning a blank apartment into a home, things are beginning to take shape. Catch a glimpse of what life is starting to look like here.
